Sketches of the Sea - Prism

I've just completed, on this cold snowy December day as small series of warm sunny watery suncatchers.  Taken directly from my travel sketchbook this pretty abstract design is meant to capture the feelings of sunlight on the water during a calm peaceful swim.

Carefully handcrafted, the colorful stained glass surrounds a very sparkly faceted cut glass crystal. The crystal throws tiny rainbows all around the room when the sun shines through. The array of blue and warm yellow art glass is dotted with a few oceanic specimen - a slice of a Whelk shell and a "Shiva's Eye", an Operculum shell. This panel is a miniature celebration of nature's quirky beauty.

The large suncatcher is strung with leather cord, ready to hang in your sunny window. It measures 9" across by 10" tall.
